"There are too many local reasons (in Delhi assembly election)... However, those are merely predictions of exit polls. We are yet to see the difference between percentage of vote-share... But the main reason was that Congress was nowhere in the scene. Congress' votes have been transferred to AAP," Swamy said during his visit to a college at Ankaleswar town in Gujarat.
He added that during the 1971 and 1980 Lok Sabha elections Congress won majority under the leadership of Indira Gandhi, however, the same party had to face defeats in Delhi local body polls and Tamil Nadu assembly polls respectively.
