Manish Kashyap, a constable posted in police lines Balrampur and his girlfriend Sharda were arrested yesterday for kidnapping the child on September 6 and demanding a ransom of Rs 35 lakh, Superintendent of Police Salikram Verma said.
The police tracked a vehicle, arrested the duo and rescued the child safely, he said.
