According to the complainant, the incident took place in the wee hours when constable Hari Ram barged into the woman's house in an inebriated state while she was alone and asleep.
"The woman said that the incident took place at around 4.15 A.M. Her husband works as a taxi-driver and was on night shift.
"When Ram entered her house and tried to molest her, she raised an alarm, bringing neighbours to her help who caught him and handed him over to police," a police official said.
