Construction worker buried alive as loose soil falls on him

: A construction worker was buried alive when loose soil from a pit being dug for a water sump in a house in Madukkarai on the outskirts fell on him today.
Police said Rajakili (40) his wife and another male worker were digging the six and half foot deep pit, which had stairs attached to it.
Suddenly the stairs collapsed and along with it the loose soil, burying him alive. The other two escaped
His body was later extricated with the help of an earthmover.
