Cooptex markets handloom fabrics produced in Tamil Nadu and the portal was launched by Handloom Minister S Gokula Indira here today.
By foraying into e-commerce, Cooptex hopes to tap the growing business potential in this space and bolster its presence.
The Minister also launched a new sari variety of "Jayakarthika" and new silk and cotton shirt varieties in the wake of Christmas and New Year.
The State run organisation has a network of 203 showrooms spread all over India with an annual turnover of around Rs.1000 Crore.
