Cop dies after being stung by bees

A 45-year-old policeman died after being stung by a swarm of bees here today, police said.
Head constable Mahendra Singh Pawar was maintaining a vigil at a procession passing through the lanes in Gandwani area when a beehive on a tree broke, district Superintendent of Police Virendra Singh said.
The bees then stung Pawar who died on way to hospital, he said.
The constable's family will be compensated as per the rules, he said.
Pawar was called from Barwani district for security at the procession, he added.
