Copper, nickel softens on sluggish demand

Prices of copper and nickel eased by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metals market today owing to slackened demand from consuming industries.
Traders attributed the fall in copper and nickel prices to sluggish demand from consuming industries.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel plate (4x4) were down by Rs 2 each to Rs 412 and Rs 1,056-1,061 per kg respectively.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 116-122, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 1,056-1,061, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 412, Chadri deshi Rs 285.
Lead ingot Rs 102, Lead imported Rs 103, Aluminum ingots Rs 156, Aluminum sheet cutting Rs 157, Aluminum wire scrap Rs 159 and Aluminum utensils scrap Rs 156.
