Copra edible mumbai declines on low demand

Copra edible Mumbai declined in an otherwise lacklustre spices market here due to lower demand from stockists and retailers.
While rest all other spices ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
Copra edible Mumbai declined by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 8,400 from overnight closing level of Rs 8,500.
Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):
Black pepper (per kg) 730/795 (730/795), ginger bleached (per kg) 210 (210), ginger unbleached (per kg) 230 (230), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 7,000 (7,000), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,900 (6,900), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 16,000 (16,000), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 8,400 (8,500).
