Copra office Kozhikode firmed up in an otherwise lacklustre spices market here today on rising demand from stockists and retailers.
Meanwhile, rest spices held stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
Copra office Kozhikode rose by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 10,100 from last Saturday's close at Rs 10,000.
Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):
Black pepper (per kg) 500/590 (500/590), ginger unbleached (per kg) 118 (118), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 10,200 (10,200), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 10,100 (10,000), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 11,300 (11,300), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 10,600 (10,600).
