Corning India appoints Amit Bansal as MD

Corning India today elevated Amit Bansal as its new managing director. Bansal will be based in Gurugram and will spearhead the company's growth and operations while contributing to strategic planning. Bansal has also been appointed to the Corning Finolex board of directors.
"Bansal has been an integral part of Corning India and has contributed to the growth over the past several years," said Thomas Appelt, president of Corning International emerging markets on the appointment. "India is one of our priority markets and we aim to expand our business and deepen our business engagement in the core sector," he added.
Corning is one of the world's leading innovators in materials science for the past 160 years and more and has expertise in speciality glass, ceramics, and optical physics to develop products that have created new industries and transformed people's lives.

Leading law firm SNG & Partners has hired Kishore Srinivasan to head its distressed assets resolution practice.
Srinivasan has about 30 years of experience in corporate banking, stressed assets management and reconstruction, structured credit advisory and stressed asset fund management in a diverse set of industries like steel, cement, sugar, power, paper, shipyards, speciality chemicals, hospitality, healthcare and textiles.
