: Coromandel Cements owned by cement manufacturer India Cements Ltd Tuesday unveiled 'Coromandel Cares,' a platform that would promote go-green initiatives in Bengaluru and Mysore.
The initiative comes in the backdrop of the depleting groundwater resources and the drinking water crisis, a press release said here.
Coromandel Cares would reach out to individuals building independent homes and provide them seed balls for growing trees. It would also offer expert advice on building groundwater harvesting structures for water conservation.
"As part of this initiative, we will partner with events and activities that promote rainwater harvesting on a sustainable basis, go-green campaigns to create public awareness," India Cements president (Sales and Marketing), Ramesh B said.
The company's senior vice-president, sales (Karnataka and Kerala), Anilkumar P said,"Our entire team which includes employees, channel partners are equally excited about the project and we are overwhelmed by their response".
"We are committed to a sustainable development and we are sure the Coromandel Cares will have a meaningful impact," he said.
Details on the initiatives would be available on website (www.coromandelcares.org) and also on various social media platforms.
Coromandel Cares would utilise the services of dealers, stockists, contractors, masons and experts in environment protection in running campaigns on a sustainable basis in these regions, the release said.
