Corporate Affairs Ministry has directed the Registrar of Companies to initiate legal action against Delhi and District Cricket Association for non-compliance with certain regulations.
An inspection of DDCA accounts was carried out and a report was submitted to the Ministry.
"Registrar of Companies, Delhi has been directed to initiate legal action for non-compliance of the various provisions of the Companies Act, 1956" highlighted in the report, Corporate Affairs Minister Sachin Pilot informed the Parliament today.
In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Pilot said an explanation has been sought from the auditors for not qualifying their reports regarding DDCA's non-compliance of certain provisions of the Companies Act, 1956.
Besides, Regional Director (Northern Region) has taken up the matter of strengthening internal control system and governance issues with the executive committee of the DDCA, with an advice to set up a audit committee.
