"The body of Annanpurna was found lying near the railway tracks. Soon after, the locals found her two daughters aged 4 and 1 at a temple in the market area," SP Rural Surendra Tiwari said.
"According to villagers, the woman was beaten by her in-laws for bearing two girls but it is not clear if the death was a suicide or murder," he said.
Police is questioning her husband, Vipin. The body has been sent for postmortem.
