The Himachal Pradesh government will probe the 'corruption charge sheet' of the previous BJP regime, which the Congress had given to President Pranab Mukherjee last year, when the party was in opposition.
"All acts of omission and commission and the issues raised by the Congress while in opposition would be probed by the government as being done in Uttarakhand," AICC General Secretary and in-charge organisational affairs for Himachal Barinder Singh Chowdhary told mediapersons.
The decision was taken at a meeting of HPCC general house here today.
Chief Minister V B Singh, who was also present at the conference said, "A certified copy of the charge sheet submitted to the President would be procured and all charges would be probed within a time bound period."
Singh also talked about phone tapping issue, saying the probe into it will be completed in two months.
"A vigilance enquiry would be ordered into the phone tapping which would be completed in two months and all the guilty would be punished," the chief minister said.
Opening of private universities, lands given to individuals and institutions and other acts of omission and commission would also be probed, Chowdhary said adding similar steps have been taken in Uttarakhand after the Congress returned to power.
Chowdhary said that meeting which was attended by PCC members, district and block office bearers, MLAs and state executive members focused on 2014 Lok Sabha polls and it was decided to constitute a permanent six-member task force to combat the "malicious propaganda and misinformation campaign" of the BJP.
