Reiterating the state government's stand against corruption, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal through a press statement today assured the people of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong that the government "will leave no stone unturned to fulfil the aspirations of the people".
Expressing gratitude to the people for their enthusiastic participation in the recently concluded Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) election, Sonowal said corruption is the major deterrent for progress in the KAAC.
He said the Home and Hills Areas Development department is fully committed to root out corruption from the hilly districts.
"We will take exemplary action against corruption and will ensure that every penny meant for the development of KAAC is properly utilised," the chief minister said.
