Marketmen said traders were expanding their bets, taking cues from firm spot markets, where prices remained in the green zone on tight stock positions and strong demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oilcake delivery for January moved up further by Rs 12, or 0.52 per cent, to Rs 2,132 per quintal, in an open interest of 51,440 lots.
Most-active February delivery too rose by Rs 10, or 0.46 per cent, to Rs 2,162 per quintal, having an open interest of 64,530 lots.
