Markemen said sprouting of fresh buying by traders at prevailing levels in spot markets mainly drove buying here in future trading, which described uptrend in prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange counter, cottonseed oil cake prices spurted by Rs 32 or 2.00 per cent to Rs 1,630 per quintal, with an open interest of 24,930 lots.
Most active July contracts delivery also surged by Rs 32 or 1.92 per cent to Rs 1,707 per quintal, in an open interest of 89,100 lots.
