Cottonseed oil cake prices lost Rs 8.50 to Rs 1,290.50 per quintal in futures trade today on narrowing of holdings by the investors amid weak physical demand.
Market players said sluggish demand for animal feed makers amid ample stocks in the spot markets led to the downtrend.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange platform, cottonseed oil cake delivery for June slipped by Rs 8.50 or 0.65 per cent to Rs 1,290.50 per quintal, in an open interest of 1,69,600 lots.
In a similar way, the delivery of May contract looked down by Rs 4.50 or 0.34 per cent to Rs 1,304 per quintal with an open interest of 15,330 lots.
