Market players mentioned the downfall in cottonseed oil cake futures prices to cutting down of portfolios by investors dampened by lower spot markets sentiments.
In the spot market, availability of stocks on heavy arrivals amid paucity of demand from animal feed makers kept the prices down, they added.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange counter, cottonseed oil cake delivery for March contracts drifted lower by Rs 22.50 or 1.47 per cent to Rs 1,511 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,15,060 lots.
