Electoral officials today reviewed the security arrangements made for the counting of votes and inspected the counting centre at Bhupimdera Khalsa Senior Secondary School here.
Para-military forces would be deployed inside the counting centre while Punjab police would take care of security arrangements outside the centre, District Electoral Officer Arshdeep Singh Thind said.
SSP Ashish Chaudhary informed that sufficient police force would be deployed to avoid any untoward incident at the counting centre.
The bypoll was held on February 23 and over 71 per cent of the voters exercised their franchise.
