The couple Venkata Ramana and his wife Ranilu (45) were attacked with acid by his brother K Poli Raju (45) when they were fast asleep in their residence in Naidu street, Sub Inspector of Salur police station, P Rama Krishna said.
According to police, both the brothers were locked in a land dispute since long.
The injured couple has been admitted to a government hospital where their condition is stated to be stable.
A case has been registered against Raju under section 326 A (causing grievous hurt by use of acid) of the IPC.
