The incident took place at Hindon city in the wee hours of today in which daily wage earner Dinesh Jatav, 24, and wife Niri, 22 jumped in front of a goods train with their one-and-a-half-year-old baby girl, Hindon-Sadar police said.
The baby, however, escaped unhurt when a goods train passed between Bargama and Sikrota crossings, they said.
Dinesh was living in the town with his wife and daughter in search of a job, and took the extreme step in desperation, police suspected.
