Couple found dead in Greater Noida, suicide suspected

In what is suspected to be a suicide, a woman was found hanging from the fan and her husband with a bullet wound on his head at their residence in Dankaur here today.
Dankaur Police Station SHO Shailendra Pratap Singh said when the police reached the residence the woman Ranjana's body was hanging from the ceiling fan and her husband Vinod's body was lying on floor with a bullet wound on his temple.
"It appears to be suicide," Singh said.
According to preliminary investigations Vinod, a farmer and liquor addict, had a heated argument with Ranjana who used to control the family finances and she had denied him money for liquor after which he had beaten her.

The bodies have been sent for post mortem, Singh said, adding that police is probing other angles too.
