According to district rural police, the accused identified as Sunil Pawar and Shalini, were apprehended yesterday from Kargil Nagar in Virar.
The duo was booked on charges relating to house trespass, wrongful confinement and outraging the modesty of woman.
"The couple had some previous animosity with the woman. They took her into their flat by dragging her and locked her inside a room. They also made her strip and beat her up," Virar police station sub-inspector RR Patil said, quoting the complaint lodged by the victim yesterday.
