The Principal District and Sessions Judge, Vishnukant Sahay, heard her petition and directed the jail doctor to ensure proper medical attention to the petitioner.
The court also sought health report on her condition to be placed before it and fixed September 19 to hear the petition.
The Barkagaon MLA was arrested on August 25 outside Jharkhand Assembly in Ranchi, days after her husband Yogendra Sao's arrest.
She had a warrant against her in connection with violence which broke out at the construction site of the National Thermal Power Corporation in Hazaribagh district on August 14.
Sao's bail petition was earlier rejected by First Class Judicial Magistrate Richa Srivastava.
Sao, who was a minister in erstwhile Hemant Soren government, had to resign from the ministry in connection with charges of raising a Naxal outfit.
