The case dates back to year 2000 wherein Irrigation Department of the ZP had acquired land of a farmer, identified as R Londe, of Rajegaon village in Ghanswnagi tehsil for construction of a percolation tank but did not pay him any compensation, following which he moved the court.
In its order dated April 4, 2013, the court had ordered the officials concerned to pay the compensation to Londe, but they were not complied with.
When contacted, CEO Prerena Deshbhartar said she would try to release compensations to the farmer at the earliest.
