Robin Sharma, a clerk at Karkardooma court in Delhi, tried to intervene into a fight in his neighbourhood last night in Shalimar Garden area of the district, police said.
Vinay Sharma, a transporter, who belonged to one of the fighting groups, objected to Robin's effort and later allegedly shot at him with his licensed pistol, said Iftqar Quershi, In-charge of Shalimar Garden police post.
Vinay fled from the spot.
Robin, who sustained bullet injury on his shoulder, was rushed to Fortis Hospital in Noida, where his condition is said to be critical.
