Metropolitan Magistrate Richa Parihar convicted Rajbir Singh, resident of Mayur Vihar here, of the offence of molestation under section 354 of the IPC .
"Complainant and her husband are both handicapped and the fact that accused was present at their house indicates the likelihood that the incident as alleged must have happened as the victim is a handicapped lady and is soft target not being in a condition to properly defend herself from the assault.
According to prosecution, on June 26, 2004, the woman, suffering disability in her leg, alleged that she was at her residence when Rajbir came and misbehaved with her by inappropriately touching her and talking in indecent manner.
When she raised an alarm, her husband and the other family members came there and Rajbir ran away, it said.
