The court's order came while acquitting the woman in a case in which she was allegedly implicated by the NCB official Akhilesh Kumar Mishra for purportedly possessing 450 grams of contraband 'heroin' in 2010.
The woman, who claimed to be a call girl before the judge, alleged the officer had "threatened" to implicate her in a false case after she had objected to his act of not paying her for her "services".
The court, after going through all evidence, came to the conclusion that she was implicated in the case and her allegation against the officer cannot be "brushed aside".
"In the present case, after very carefully perusing the entire material before it, this court is of the considered opinion that the allegations raised by the accused against Akhilesh Kumar Mishra cannot be brushed aside so lightly and that the false implication of the accused in the present case by the investigating agency, cannot be ruled out," Special Judge Anu Grover Baliga said.
"It is therefore hereby directed that a copy of this order be sent to the Commissioner of Police (Akhilesh Kumar Mishra, a Delhi Police officer who was on deputation in NCB at the relevant time) with a direction that a detailed inquiry be conducted against him with respect to the allegations made by the accused...," the judge said and also directed the Zonal Director of NCB to extend full cooperation in the inquiry.
The woman was facing trial in the case for the offences punishable under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
