The five arrested persons were today produced in the court of the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM), Barrackpore, who granted them bail.
Three persons were arrested last night and another two today. Of the five arrested two were named in the FIR filed by CPI-M.
Seven political workers - four belonging to CPI-M and three to ruling Trinamool Congress - were injured in an incident of violence at Belghoria.
Five persons have been arrested in connection with the incident which took place last night when workers of both parties were putting up buntings and flags after campaigning came to an end in the area, police said today.
The area falls under Dum Dum constituency which goes to the polls in the fifth and last phase tomorrow.
