Special CBI judge O P Saini, who had earlier fixed July 6 for hearing arguments on the plea, listed it for July 18 after Swamy moved an application seeking the hearing be advanced.
His counsel Tarun Goomber told the court that Swamy will not be available in Delhi on July 6 so the matter be heard today itself.
The court, however, refused to hear the matter today and listed it for July 18.
He had also said in his application that Raja's written statement to the JPC gives a detailed account of the official meetings held between him, the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister in December 2007 and January 2008 to formulate and finalise the rules and regulations for 2G spectrum allocation by the then government.
Swamy has sought summoning of Raja's April 22 written statement to JPC chairman P C Chacko along with the draft report of the JPC, the draft report of the Public Accounts Committee and also Shyamala Shukla, the then Director of Infrastructure, and Sindhushree Khullar, the then Additional Secretary of Economic Affairs Department, to ascertain the truth.
His application was dismissed by the court in February 2012.
The court, however, had said it will hear the complaint filed by Swamy in which he had made further allegations against Raja without making Chidambaram an accused.
