Trinamool Congress today accused CPI(M) of conspiring with BJP to attack its workers and killing four of its activists at Raidighi in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal.
"CPI(M) is indulging in violence in tandem with BJP," TMC secretary general Partha Chatterjee told newspersons here condemning the murder of its four activists last night.
"We will ask the government and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to ensure strict action against those directly involved and also those who are instigating such incidents through their speeches and statements," he said.
Chatterjee announced that protest marches would be held by party workers today in different parts of the state.
"We will observe 'Black Day' tomorrow and all party workers and supporters will wear black badges and march with black flags to protest against CPI(M) and BJP's joint conspiracy," Chatterjee, also state education and parliamentary affairs minister, said.
The party would also observe 'anti-violence day' on Tuesday, he added.
