"In view of the increasing violence against Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the state, an SC/ST Commission should be constituted to deliver justice to them," CPI(M) state secretary P Madhu said in a press release.
The Commission has not been reconstituted since 2007, he said, adding the government has not heeded to the demand for the same ever since.
He said justice for the SC/ST community is possible only with the constitution of the Commission.
