State's Chief Electoral Officer Sunil Gupta said that the Commission had received the CPI(M)'s complaint.
"The CPI(M) has directly sent its complaint to the ECI with a copy to me, which I have forwarded to the Commission immediately," Gupta told PTI.
The CPI(M) questioned how the chief secretary could assure the transferred officials before the end of the polls that they would be transferred back to their earlier posting.
It had said that the the transfers would remain effective only till the completion of the election and that they would be reverted to their previous posting thereafter.
