Welcoming the dismissal of eight police personnel allegedly involved in a child prostitution racket, CPIM today urged the union territory government to seek a CBI probe.
The government should seek a CBI probe to procure justice to the victims and arrest the accused police personnel and also a few other "influential persons" allegedly involved in the racket, CPI-M local unit Secretary R.Rajangam said in a release here.
The victims of the crime should be provided relief as they had suffered mental trauma in the wake of the crime.
The racket came to light after two minor girls were rescued in April last year.
