The CPI(M) will support Marxist Coordination Committee (MCC) candidate Anand Mahato from Dhanbad in the upcoming general elections, party politburo member Brinda Karat said today.
"We will support the MCC candidate from Dhanbad and the CPI in Hazaribagh, Chatra and Dumka," Brinda told reporters here.
Brinda had on January 17 announced party leaders Rajendra Singh Munda (Ranchi) and Jyotin Soren (Raj Mahal) for the two LS seats it would contest in Jharkhand.
The MCC and the CPI have already announced their support to the two CPI(M) candidates.
