Senior CPI(ML) leaders K D Yadav and Mahanand described the police action on demonstrators as unprovoked and unwarranted and alleged that police resorted to barbaric act against them.
They alleged that police also assaulted its senior leader Raja Ram Singh during the agitation.
They called for immediate dismissal of the district magistrate and the superintendent of police of the district.
