Justice R Subbiah granted the bail on certain conditions including that Ramachandran must stay in Chennai and must sign at the Triplicane Police Station daily until further orders.
Ramachandran, wanted by police in connection with the murder of Krishnagiri district Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam convenor Palanisamy on July 5 last, surrendered along with four others before Tiruvannamalai Judicial Magistrate on July 30.
He was later detained under the stringent Goondas Act, but the high court had last month quashed it.
