"UPA II has failed to check the price rise and control inflation, as a result people are suffering," CPI state secretary Girish told reporters here today.
Price rise, high inflation rate and food shortage will be the key issues that will be raised at the protest starting on July 30 near Parliament house, he said.
"The Centre should also ensure that the Public Distribution System is made corruption-free and the project should be made more extensive," the CPI leader said.
Despite the availability of adequate food stock, people are being deprived of it, he alleged.
Girish also slammed the Uttar Pradesh government for the "poor" law and order situation in the state.
"The state has witnessed a spurt in crime since Samajwadi Party came to power," he alleged.
