CPI working to unify secular forces: Bardhan

CPI was making efforts for unifying the secular and democratic forces in the country against the backdrop of social, economic and moral crises, veteran CPI leader A B Bardhan said here today.
"The country is passing through a crisis, a political crisis, a deep economic crisis and also a crisis which is social and if I may say so, even moral. Many things are happening in the country about which we are all worried," he said, speaking at a function to mark the foundation day of CPI.
"But a crisis situation also creates opportunities for the Communists. We are fighting for bringing together all the Left and democratic forces in the country," he said.
