"We demand immediate relief and rehabilitation of quake hit people in erstwhile Doda district," Regional Secretary of CPIM Sham Prasad Kesar told reporters here today.
He said immediate steps should be taken to repair roof of the damaged houses and school and hospital building in the area, besides providing food, blankets, medicines and cash relief to the victims.
"There should be long term planning for these type of traumas because this area is earthquake prone area," Kesar said.
"It is legal duty of both state and union government to rehabilitate those suffering hardships due to repeated earth quake," Kesar said.
