The Central Railway (CR) organised an event on 'Mission Satyanishtha', a programme launched last year on the need and value of ethics in personal and public life.
The event was held yesterday at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) auditorium, where top railway officials stressed the importance of good governance, an official said today.
The event was streamed live on the Central Railway's Facebook page, the official added.
In his inaugural speech, CR General Manager D K Sharma said, "'Satyanishtha' means integrity in doing the right thing even when nobody is watching you. It is about listening to your inner voice in times of dilemma."
Talking about the objectives of the programme, CR chief spokesperson Sunil Udasi said, "Mission Satyanishtha aims at sensitising all railway employees about the need to adhere to good ethics and to maintain high standards of integrity at work."
