Craftsvilla ropes in Manish Kalra from Amazon

E-commerce firm Craftsvilla today said it has appointed Manish Kalra as its Chief Business Officer.
In his previous role, Kalra was the Director of Integrated Marketing at Amazon India, responsible for overall marketing and building key Amazon brands like Amazon.In, Junglee.Com and Kindle in the country.
"We have appointed Manish Kalra as Chief Business Officer. He will play key role in binding together critical growth functions including overall marketing, product, supply, category management and merchandising," a statement issued here said.
Manoj Gupta, co-founder and CEO, Craftsvilla.Com said, "Manish brings extensive experience in e-commerce space including Amazon and Make my Trip, where he played active role in building consumer growth and scaling the businesses in these organisations using innovative and efficient marketing tools and building teams and processes from scratch."
Confirming the transit, Kalra said, "I am very excited to join Craftsvilla.Com at this stage in their journey of bringing Indian ethnic products and handicrafts closer to the Indian consumer. We have a huge opportunity in building a world class product and enabling Indian sellers and small business."
In the last four years, Craftsvilla.Com has built an ethnic e-commerce marketplace with close to 25,000 artisans and designers across the country.
The company reaches more than a million customers everyday through its website and mobile app.
