Addressing the national conclave of Housing and Urban Development ministers at New Delhi, the minister while presenting an overview of the ongoing housing and UD projects in the state, urged the Ministry to assist his state in its requirement for 23,204 and 14,809 houses for the BPL and APL families respectively, an official statement released here said.
The conclave, presided by Union Housing and Poverty Alleviation Minister M Venkaiah Naidu, chalked a 25-point charter of action to develop urban areas in the country.
He proposed for a regional level conference of NE states for better understanding of the distinctive problems confronted by the region and offered to host the first such conference in Arunachal Pradesh.
