Credit to MI bowling, says Duminy

Jean Paul Duminy, the leading run getter for the struggling Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League, praised the bowling of defending champions Mumbai Indians after his side lost by 15 runs here today.
"From the batting point of view we had a very good start, but lost our way in the middle. We could not get boundaries. I have to give credit to Mumbai they bowled exceptionally well towards middle and back end of our innings," said Duminy referring to the quick start given by captain Kevin Pietersen who made 44 off 31 balls.
The Daredevils were stopped at 158 for four, Duminy remaining unbeaten with 45 off 29 balls with four sixes, and the South African said his team did a great job in restricting Mumbai to 173 after their electrifying start of 87 for no loss in 8 overs.

"We did a hell of a job to restrict them to 173. At one stage we were looking at a score of over 200. But we knew if we can keep wicket taking mindset we had a good chance to restrict them."
Asked why the team chose to chase after winning the toss, Duminy said it was the best option at the Wankhede Stadium.
"We always thought chasing was the easier option at the Wankhede. Unfortunately we lost our way a bit in the middle and back end. One more (match) to go and hope we can win that," he said referring to the game in hand against Kings XI Punjab on Sunday.

"We have got great potential in our top four. We just did not fire today. They bowled really well and had smart plans against our batters.

"One over can change the game and unfortunately for us Mumbai bowled yorkers and we could not get under them. Their execution of plans was good," he added.
Duminy said that MI's Praveen Kumar had twisted his ankle before start of play and they had to agree to Pragyan Ojha as the late replacement in the XI.
"Praveen Kumar twisted his ankle just before start of play. They had to bring in a new one. It needed a discussion. At the end of the day we have to play whom we face. We would like to give ourselves a chance to win against any body. But they bowled exceptionally well.
