The tournament is being held in men's, women's, girls and boys categories, according to Arun Mallya, co-ordinator of the inititative. The response to the tournament and other programmes of 'CREST for Kashmir' initiative had been overwhelming, he said.
The preliminary rounds of the tournament would be held today and tomorrow, while the semifinals and the final would be held on Saturday.
As part of the initiative, CREST,youth wing of the Centre for Integrated Learning is also conducting old newspaper collection drive and mobilising resources through door to door campaign, Mallya said, adding that the resources would be utilised to rehabilitate people in a specific village who suffered the most in the recent floods in Kashmir.
