Crime against women: Telangana mulling setting up fast-track

Telangana Government is "actively considering" setting up fast-track courts to deal with offences against women and children.
Delivering his address at the joint conference of Chief Ministers and High Court Chief Justices here, Telangana Law Minister Indra Karan Reddy said the state government is actively considering to establish fast-track courts to deal with offences against women and children.
Stressing that his government would extend full cooperation for upgrading infrastructure of High Court and subordinate courts, Reddy said the state government was in agreement with the views of the High Court over the All India Judicial Services.
The Telangana Legal Services Authority was set up after the creation of the new state and a post of Member Secretary was sanctioned.
