A team of Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Ghaziabad Police has arrested Pawan Sharma from Kavi Nagar Industrial Area, near Lal Quan, for making extortion calls on mobile phones of two Ghaziabad-based industrialists and threatening them, they said.
Two mobile phones used by him to make the calls have been seized.
Police said Pawan is a member of 'Rahul Khatta' gang. On November 22, he made several phone calls to the two industrialists and demanded Rs 50 lakh from each of them.
