Croma launches Intel-based tablets, 2-in-1s

Retail major Croma today launched two new smart devices under its private label in partnership with chipmaker Intel, priced Rs 13,990 onwards.
Croma has launched an eight-inch tablet PC (Croma 1179) and a 10.1-inch 2-in-1 (Croma 1177), priced at Rs 13,990 and Rs 21,990 respectively.
"Croma's own label products are about meeting consumer needs with the latest and the best technology. These new products combine amazing features, graphics, top performance supported with good battery life. We are confident our customers will appreciate the value packed in them," Infiniti Retail CEO Ajit Joshi said.
Earlier this year, Intel outlined its strategy to focus on new mobile form factors like 2-in-1s and tablets in India.
"We are excited to be working with Croma to bring these new mobile devices to consumers in India. These devices deliver superior computing performance and great battery life to keep pace with today's mobile lifestyle," Intel Asia Pacific and Japan Vice President and General Manager Gregory Bryant said.
The Windows-powered tablet features 1.33GHz Intel processor with 2 GB RAM, 2 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera and 5000mAh battery. The 2-in-1 is also based on the Windows platform.
