Crossed 1 mn unit sales during festive period: Hero MotoCorp

Two-wheeler market leader Hero MotoCorp today said it has already crossed the one million unit sales mark during the ongoing festive period, even before Dhanteras, a day considered auspicious for new purchases.
"We have already crossed one million unit sales during this festive period, even before Dhanteras day," a senior Hero MotoCorp official said.
Bullish on good sales during the festive period, the official added: "With almost a week remaining in the festive season, including Dhanteras and Diwali days, we are confident of further adding to this tally."
Last month, Hero MotoCorp reported 11.24 per cent increase in sales at 6,74,961 units, its best ever monthly figures, beating the previous best in October 2015 when the company had sold 6,39,802 units.

The company yesterday reported a 27.74 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 1,004.22 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016, riding on its best ever quarterly sales of 18,23,498 units.
